Online education finally goes high tech with new online learning platform created by Motti Shaked. To showcase the platform Shaked created a .NET tutorial that has been praised as an innovative way to deliver online education.

Traditional online education has been stuck in the 90s. A new company is determined to change that with a new platform. The platform, developed by Motti Shaked, is more like a software app than video training because it gives students control over how they learn.

Since its inception, online video training has not seen a lot of advancement. Most of it is no different than training delivered on DVDs or tapes — except that it’s delivered online. It still creates a passive learning environment. The platform is designed to encourage active learning and application.

In contrast to video training, the platform features an interactive user interface. Students can click links, scroll, and copy text to truly interact with the presentation. The entire transcript of the training is available and can be viewed with closed captioning. The content can also be searched and students can go to any point in the presentation with just a click.

“I developed this online learning platform to give students a way to learn better, faster, and in a more intuitive way,” said Shaked.

The platform is open and extensible with an API, so trainers can create custom instructional aids. They can also add quizzes that give immediate feedback. If the student answers a question incorrectly, the correct answer is explained.

In the few weeks since its launch the tutorial has been accessed by people from over 100 countries and has gotten an enthusiastic response.
